The Sunday Service
The Sunday Service is the glue that holds lipservice together. Also, despite the similarities in our names, they aren’t mad at us.
The Sunday Service is Ryan Beil, Caitlin Howden, Kevin Lee, Aaron Read, Taz VanRassel, and their amazing musical director, Emmett Hall.
With over 20 Canadian Comedy Award Nominations, a CCA Best improve Troupe Award in 2012, and international recognition, The Sunday Service present to audiences across North America a fast paced and singular take on traditional long form.
Their high energy and commitment to comedy carries the audience through a kaleidoscopic trip; watching scenes barrel into tangents and stories smash together to create a piece that holds the collective spirit to its highest regard, and puts a big ol’ goofy shoe down to show everyone they’re not so serious!
“Vancouver has a top-notch comedy scene that doesn’t get the attention it deserves, so it’s great to see the always-entertaining Sunday Service getting national recognition.”
– Gregor Robertson, Mayor of Vancouver. (who proclaimed Nov. 18, 2011 Sunday Service Day)
“Their live show is amazing, their podcast is hilarious, The Sunday Service is all that’s right and true about comedy in this country. Simply put, I wish I was in The Sunday Service. Please don’t tell Picnicface.”
– Andy Bush, Picnicface
“The Sunday Service transforms comedy into a religion at the Hennessey Dining Lounge.”
– Leszek Apouchtine, Where Magazine
In short, they are funny as hell, and will ensure you have a great time.
