Lipservice 5 Performer Profile // *IN SYNC

lipservice 5 Performer Profile // *IN SYNC

Influenced by some serious FOMO, peer pressure and a will to perform, the ladies of *IN SYNC are excited to take the stage for their lipservice debut. This fearless trio is getting ready to say ‘bye, bye, bye’ to the competition. In the meantime, you can support their fundraising efforts for imagine1day + WE Charity here

Where you from?
Ali: Vancouver, Becky: Kamloops, Sarah: Grande Prairie

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
For this competition, lots and lots of YouTube videos.

What drove you to sign up for lipservice?
Ali: the FOMO I experienced after watching lipservice as a spectator last year.
Becky: Aaron DeJong wouldn’t have forgiven me if I didn’t.
Sarah: How could I say no to a chance to perform?!

If someone were to write your team biography, what would the title be?
Dancers Without a Stage

What was the last Netflix (and chill) series you binge-watched?
Ali: Black Mirror
Becky: Abstract
Sarah: Stranger Things

You’re leaving Vancouver tomorrow forever; tonight is your last night. Where do you go?
Ali: English Bay for a big beach BBQ with friends and family.
Becky: Sunset either on Lions Gate Bridge, down at Wreck Beach, or at Cypress Mountain lookout with beer and friends.
Sarah: Grab a scoop of Rain or Shine and walk along the waterfront with some good humans.

Who is your spirit celebrity, and why?
Ali: Katy Perry. I would kill to wear her costumes and dream up fantasy worlds to perform in; Becky: Uma Thurman. She’s a tall blonde triple threat. Plus she’s such a bad ass in Kill Bill; Sarah: I strive to be Amy Poehler, specifically in the stylings of Leslie Knope.

Aside from Donald Trump’s Twitter account, what is most likely to make you cry?
Ali: Hands down the TV show ‘This is Us’; Becky: Tricky question. But last time I cried I dropped a glass jar of maple syrup on floor; Sarah: Any animated film. Moana ruined me.
