Calling Vancouver’s Finest lip sync enthusiasts!
A hush falls over the crowd. The lights dim. You grip the fake plastic microphone in your hand, and all of a sudden it feels like a fake plastic microphone in your hand. Then the beat drops, your lips sync, and the rest is a blur, until the crowd explodes (hopefully).
Sound like your ideal Saturday night? We thought so.
lipservice, going down March 28, 2015 at the Imperial, is on the lookout for 10 groups or individuals to take the stage in the lip sync battle of the universe. An epic battle which also happens to be in support of sustainable education initiatives in Ethiopia, via our amazing charity partner, imagine1day.
No prior experience? Don’t sweat it, no one really has prior lip sync experience, so you’ll be in good company. All you need is the drive to get outside of your comfort zone and to lip sync one or two 60 second clips of your favourite jam(s).
All we ask is you help us raise some funds ($200 per person on your team of 1-5 people) for imagine1day, practice, and have a lot of fun on March 28.
